4-Day Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi NP & Lake Mburo NP Tour

This short gorilla and wildlife trip highlights gorilla tracking, beautiful countryside, and game drives, a walking safari, a stopover at the equator, a safari at Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest but richest savanna park, where you will be able to encounter animals like giraffes, zebras, topis, elands, impalas, and warthogs. From here, we will transfer to Bwindi through rolling hills as you make your way to see the great mountain gorillas. It is all an unforgettable experience.

Day 1

Transfer from Entebbe airport to lake mburo national park, Stop over at the equator

Visitors who arrive in the morning will be transferred immediately to Lake Mburo National Park. We normally stop at the equator for stretching, breakfast, and toilet use. If you stayed in Entebbe after arrival, you should have had breakfast at the hotel. From here we drive through beautiful countryside and vast grazing lands, chances of meeting the Ankole long-horned cattle are high, which is a free complimentary, on arrival; at the park, we will enjoy a game drive before checking in, and expect to spot various giraffes, hippos, errands, buffalos, impalas, zebras and so many birds, after the game drive we drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning walking safari and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National park

After breakfast we head out for a big day, A walking safari is the only way you can get up close to wildlife, many animals that would be sacred by the noise of the can feel more comfortable with a silent encounter, walking safaris involve armed rangers who will ensure your safety, forget 100m photos, on a walking safari you will get as close as possible as long as you obey the required distance from wildlife, take lots of photos at your pace, get close to nature and mingle if you are a selfie person this is your chance, after the safari, we will be waiting for you to transfer to Bwindi meanwhile awaiting our big day the next morning, we will have our lunch en route and do some shopping along the way incase you need anything specific, then proceed to Bwindi.

Day 3

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

We will begin the day with an early breakfast. Your guide will pick you up and escort you to the park offices for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will be assigned to a gorilla group and have the option to hire a porter for $20 USD. Please ensure your lodge arranges a packed lunch and drinking water.

Gorilla trekking can last from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family. Once you spot the gorillas, feel free to take as many photos as you like, while following the instructions of the wardens and guides. After the trek, we will visit the Batwa Village in Rushaga to learn about the indigenous community’s way of life. Expect cultural performances, storytelling, and insights into their lives following eviction from the forest. Following the visit, we’ll return to the lodge, where you can enjoy a bonfire and stargazing at the edge of the jungle.

Day 4

Transfer back to Entebbe International Aiport

Its always sad to say bye, but this day we will emotionally let you decide on whether you want to go back home or extend your stay with us, we will have our last breakfast, before embarking on a scenic journey towards Entebbe, and we will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and other photo stopovers If you are scheduled that night we head directly to the airport and if you have more time we take you to your hotel and your next adventure will start from there.
