Day 1
Arrival in Maun and Transfer by Light Aircraft to Dinaka
Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met by a representative and assisted to board your light aircraft charter to Dinaka.
An exclusive private reserve hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Dinaka is host to one of the mostunique bio-diversities in Southern Africa. This ever-changing desert landscape gives refuge to the Kalahari lion, springbok, oryx and brown hyena.
You will spend the next three nights at Dinaka on a full board basis (incl. drinks and all activities).
Day 2-3
Explore the Central Kalahari Game Reserve
Situated alongside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the focus of activities at Dinaka is exploring the Kalahari. Experience wildlife ranging from giraffes to antelopes, small mammals like the honey badgers, bat-eared foxes and porcupines to predators including the Kalahari lions, cheetahs, leopards and brown hyenas.
The activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Alternatively, you may get up close and personal with nature on foot with guided bush walks. Birding is particularly spectacular as Dinaka as it hosts over 200 different bird species.
Day 4
Light Aircraft Transfer from Dinaka to Kanana
Depending on the departure time of your light aircraft, you may have one last opportunity to enjoy the last game activity in Dinaka.
Afterwards, have a light aircraft charter transfer from Dinaka to Kanana, situated on the Xudum River in the southwest region of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Depending on your arrival time at Kanana you may enjoy lunch and embark on your first game activity in Kanana. The Okavango Delta annual floods change some areas of the Kanana concession into a water paradise. Guests can then enjoy the best of both worlds: exploring wildlife through waterways while also being able to traverse the bush by vehicle.
Day 5-6
Game Viewing in the Okavango Delta
Kanana is located in a private concession and you will be able to enjoy various activities in the following two days: game drives (night driving and offroad driving allowed), guided walking safaris and mokoro trips.
Depending on the water levels, motor boating is also available, which provides private access to one of the largest heronries in the Okavango Delta of Botswana. This area is particularly perfect for enthusiastic bird watchers.
Alternatively, you have the opportunity to just relax next to the pool enjoying these unique African surroundings.
Day 7
