Day 1
Arrival in Central Kalahari
Dumela! Welcome to Botswana! Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, you will be warmly greeted and assisted to your light aircraft, which will whisk you away to the Central Kalahari region. Arrive at the lodge just in time for a delightful lunch. Take the afternoon to settle into your new surroundings and relax before embarking on your first thrilling safari activity. As the sun begins to set, immerse yourself in the stunning desert landscape and spot remarkable wildlife, setting the stage for the adventure ahead.
Day 2
Central Kalahari Exploration
The following two days are dedicated to exploring the magnificent Central Kalahari. The desert and its diverse wildlife are the stars of the show, offering an exhilarating blend of morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 3
Central Kalahari Exploration
Your knowledgeable guides will lead you through this unique landscape, unveiling its secrets. Enjoy guided bush walks that bring you up close to the flora and fauna, and delight in birdwatching with the opportunity to tick off many of the reserve's 200-plus species. Keep an eye out for majestic creatures such as the Kalahari lion, cheetah, leopard, and the elusive brown hyena.
Day 4
Transfer to Moremi
Bid a fond farewell to your hosts as you transfer back to the airstrip for your flight to the Moremi Game Reserve. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will welcome you warmly and take you on a game drive to your new home, Okuti Lodge, hidden on the banks of the Xakanaxa Lagoon. Nestled in the wildlife-rich heart of Moremi, this lodge offers an enchanting setting for your next safari adventure. Settle in and soak up the tranquil atmosphere as you prepare for the days of exploration ahead.
Day 5 & 6
Explore Moremi Game Reserve
Moremi's abundance of wildlife ensures that your time here is filled with excitement and wonder. Spend your days on thrilling game drives, witnessing the rich diversity of animals that inhabit the reserve. Motorized boat trips through the winding waterways bring you close to hippos, tigerfish, and an array of bird species, including squacco herons, marabous, and yellow-billed storks. Between activities, unwind by the pool or relax on your private deck, taking in the serene views of the lagoon. Night-time exploration is not permitted, preserving the peaceful ambiance of Moremi's wilderness.
Day 7
Transfer to Okavango Delta
Today, a light aircraft flight will transport you to the legendary Okavango Delta, where Kanana Camp awaits. This luxurious tented camp is perched on the delta's floodplains, offering stunning views of this watery paradise. Water activities take center stage here, providing a unique perspective on the delta's beauty. Day 8 & 9
Okavango Delta Exploration
The Okavango Delta offers a perfect blend of water and land activities, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Spend your days gliding through the waterways in a mokoro, or venture further afield by power boat to try your hand at fishing for the infamous tigerfish. On land, enjoy day and night game drives or bush walks, exploring the numerous islands and their inhabitants. Each activity offers a new perspective on the delta's rich biodiversity, making every moment an adventure.
Day 10
Departure Day
On your final morning, savor the last moments in the bush before your flight back to Maun. Once in Maun, you will connect with your homebound flight, concluding your incredible journey through Botswana.
